World Studies is a survey course of major events and themes in World History from the fall of Rome to the present. The themes of Identity, Power, Conflict, Compromise, and Justice will provide the lenses through which students will study several cases from multiple regions and time periods. Students will be able to recall, analyze, compare, infer, and evaluate information presented. They will be able to write a comparative essay focusing on both similarities and differences They will complete short, sustained research projects.
Assessments will be both content and skill based; students will use their prior and newly gained knowledge to as they read and write.
